Railroad studies and projects

For more than two decades, Spain has been developing an extensive network of High Speed Railway Lines in order to communicate the different centers of population and economic activity with each other, either directly or through connections that significantly shorten travel times.

An important part of the work of Synconsult S.L., consists in the drafting of Platform Projects for different sections of High Speed Lines, among which we can highlight those belonging to the following lines: Madrid – Zaragoza – Barcelona – French Border; Madrid – Castilla la Mancha – Valencian Community – Region of Murcia; Madrid – Extremadura; Vitoria – Bilbao / San Sebastian and Cordoba – Malaga.

The route of the sections that have been planned runs through very varied orography and in some cases of special difficulty, requiring a succession of tunnels and viaducts to adapt the slope of the infrastructure to the conditions required for high speed.

In all cases, the design has provided the different projected sections with the geometric (radii, slopes, superelevations, etc.), functional and comfort characteristics of a high-performance infrastructure, minimizing environmental impact and especially controlling noise and vibration levels.
